The Walt Whitman Arts Center proudly presents an original work that brings together world class artists and Camden City residents in a perfect dance, song, and musical production, Spirit of Camden – Resurrection through Dance.  The former Alvin Ailey and Dance Theater of Harlem trained choreographer, Maureen Henighan Booker,  uses the city of Camden as the landscape to create pieces that capture the juxtaposition of the perceived state of Camden and the actual talent that exists here. The work honors Ben White, a Camden school teacher, who spent 20+ years exposing Camden youth to diverse arts and theater events.

Ticket Information:  $20 for Sept 28^th performance – all seats; $20 for Sept 29^th. Student discounts available for Sept 29^th performance with school ID.  Tickets available @ WWAC office, Gordon Theater Box office and www.tix.com.  Advance ticket purchases are encouraged.
